Empire's foreign death squads kill Syrians

In an interview with Press TV, Omar Nashabe, from Al-Akhbar News Paper, shares his opinion on the issue of the foreign aided, month's long Syrian unrest. Following is a rough transcription of the interview. Press TV: Damascus has been rocked in the past two weeks by two deadly terrorist attacks. The immediate question is who and why? Nashabe:Yes, well first of all I think [that] we should wait for the investigation and for the results of the investigation and there are accusations that have been voiced recently by the so-called opposition claiming that the authorities are responsible for that. I think that, that is almost ridiculous and that points that, there is a weakness on the part of these people who are trying to create a chaos in Syria. The Syrian authorities and the Syrian judicial authorities should be allowed to deal with the situation. The army is supposed to back up the police and the judicial authorities and if in doing their job... [This has been going on] I have to provide a general perspective on what has been going on. The Arab League and the other international forces have been asking the Syrians to withdraw the army from the cities. I do not really think that this is feasible or appropriate because when you have people shooting at the army and shooting and using weapons against the government institutions in any country anywhere in the world the job of the army and [the job] of the security forces is to arrest these people and take them to trial. There has been a lot of international involvement[s] in Syrian affairs, asking the Syrian authorities not to arrest people and not to enter the cities and- you know- this has been going on now for more than nine months and these people because, of the external support have gotten more powerful and now there are some military [militarist] groups using similar destructive crimes that have been used and that have been used in Iraq and led to the destruction of Iraq and led to internal problems in Iraq that Iraq is still suffering from, today. So, therefore the fear is that, there would be an international plan led by the United States to actually destroy Syria the same way Iraq was destroyed and that is the big fear. Press TV: This all sounds great on paper which then got executed and you mentioned Libya and of course you mentioned Iraq. Omar Nashabe there is only one problem that I see, I want you to tell us if you agree with this and that is was Libya a success? Was Iraq a success? What happened in Libya with the number of deaths that occurred with that no-fly zone? We did not really know the total deaths occurred based on the casualties because the Western media did not give us that. but give us your reaction to what our guest said there, when he mentions the empire and the plans when the examples to be followed really had not been successes have they? Nashabe: I fully agree with your guest and I think [that] it is up to the Libyans and to the Iraqis to say and I have, I do not know if any of our followers are Iraqis or do know Iraqis. Well they should ask them about the situation in Iraq today after it has been quote unquote 'liberated' and after their 'mission has been accomplished' quote unquote as George W. Bush had declared earlier. In Libya also, I mean as the Libyans let us go and ask. Let us go and see the gunfire's that took place yesterday and the tension rising between different groups of armed men in Tripoli and in other parts of Libya. Let us see where the Libyan money is going, the Libyan oil, the Iraqi oil, the government institutions. You know, Iraq had some of the best hospitals in the world, had some of the best government institutions in the world. Where are they today? What happened to the state of things in Iraq? Anyone who travels to Iraq can see what a destroyed country this is and what is the reason for destruction? I am sure, yes, Saddam Hussein was not a good leader for Iraq and there were some legitimate demands on the part of the Iraqi people for change and there were also legitimate demands in Libya for change and there are today legitimate demands in Syria for improving the services provided by the government for [a] multiparty system, for more democracy for more freedom of expression. These are all legitimate demands but I think [that] the biggest irony and the biggest crime is that when these external forces use these demands and profit from the fact that some Syrian groups of young men and women are taking to the streets asking for basic demands and they use these movements in order to create -to serve the political interests of great powers, to actually use the Syrian people to reach objectives that have nothing to do with the interests of the Syrian people. They can ask the Iraqis and the Libyans.

Houla Killings - Syria - 25-05-2012

Houla Killings - Syria - 25-05-2012 The Houla massacre was an attack that took place on May 25, 2012, in two opposition-controlled villages in the Houla Region of Syria, a cluster of villages north of Homs. State media gave accounts of some 17 civilians as having been killed. Maj. Gen. Robert Mood, head of the United Nations Supervision Mission in Syria (UNSMIS), confirmed opposition group claims that at least 90 civilians were killed, including 32 children. General Mood declared the killings "indiscriminate and unforgiveable" without explaining how they happened, but said the violence had begun Friday evening with the use of "tanks, artillery, rocket-propelled grenades, and heavy machine guns", implying involvement by government forces since the FSA do not possess heavy weaponry. The official news agency of the Syrian government alleged that Al-Qaeda terrorist groups were responsible for the killings, while opposition groups alleged that the Syrian military and government-linked militias known as Shabiha were the perpetrators. The Syrian National Council (SNC), Syria's main opposition bloc, put the death toll at more than 110 people, half of them children. Ban-Ki Moon and Kofi Annan blamed the Syrian government, accusing them of carrying out a "brutal" breach of international law. Residents say they had sent the UN a plea for help before the massacre, warning of an imminent attack by the government, but the UN monitors did not respond. The Syrian Government was condemned for its role in the massacre unanimously by the United Nations Security Council. The statement said that the attacks "involved a series of government artillery and tank shellings on a residential neighborhood" and the security council called for the Syrian Government to withdraw heavy weapons from Syrian towns.

CIA Catches Themselves in New Underwear Bomb Plot

'Al-CIA-Duh Bomber' Was a CIA Informant http://www.infowars.com/al-qaeda-bomber-was-a-cia-informant/ Just one day after reports that the CIA had foiled a plot involving a "sophisticated underwear bomb" targeted against U.S. airliners, the entire story has once again collapsed into a farce. Just as the FBI has been caught directing every major domestic terror plot, it turns out that the supposed "bomber" was actually a CIA informant. "U.S. and Yemeni officials say the supposed would-be bomber at the heart of an al-Qaida airliner plot was actually an informant working for the CIA," reports the Associated Press. "Officials say the informant was working for the CIA and Saudi Arabian intelligence when he was given the bomb. He then turned the device over to authorities. Officials say the informant is safely out of Yemen." So all the propaganda and fearmongering over this plot was once again over nothing -this was yet another staged incident just as the first underwear bomber event was a manufactured hoax from beginning to end.

U.S. Admits: Al Qaeda Bomber Was CIA Informant - 5/8/12

http://RevolutionNews.US — CIA Informant Posed As A Would-Be Bomber To Foil Underwear Bomb Plot... A new key detail has emerged in the foiled underwear bomb plot: NPR's Dina Temple-Raston reports that a CIA informant posed as a suicide bomber in order to persuade the al-Qaida branch in Yemen to hand over a new, more sophisticated underwear bomb. The Los Angeles Times was the first to report the news. The paper adds that the operation was a joint effort between the CIA and Saudi Arabian intelligence and once the informant received the bomb, he "arranged to deliver the explosive device to U.S. and other intelligence authorities waiting in another country, officials said Tuesday." - WASHINGTON -- The successful blocking of an ambitious Al Qaeda plot to bomb a U.S.-bound airliner was an international sting operation worthy of Hollywood, with spies tricking terrorists into showing their cards. Saudi Arabia's intelligence agency, working closely with the CIA, used an informant to pose as a would-be suicide bomber. His job was to convince the Al Qaeda franchise in Yemen to give him a new kind of non-metallic bomb that the militants were designing to easily pass through airport security. But the double agent instead arranged to deliver the explosive device to U.S. and other intelligence authorities waiting in another country, officials said Tuesday. The agent is now safely outside Yemen and is being debriefed.
