Many atheists were hoping and anticipating Richard Carrier would single-handedly defeat famed Christian apologist Dr. William Lane Craig. To their disappointment, Carrier lost the debate. Carrier performed so badly*, he even admitted he lost: "As I had predicted, I didn't win the debate."**:
* - You can find this quote at Richard Carriers blogsite entitled "Craig Debate Wrap" dated March 30, 2009: "I wasn't happy with my performance. My rebuttals were disorganized, I stumbled over sentences too often, and my time management was poor (I didn't hit all the points I wanted to). On all three points I learned a great deal, which will improve my proficiency in future debates considerably. I fully acknowledge Craig's skills as a debater are far more polished than mine (or anyone's), but I knew that going in."
